The Basics
What Is Perfume Layering?
Perfume layering is wearing two or more fragrances together — on skin or on clothes — so they blend into a scent neither one makes alone.
Why people do it
A single fragrance is one note. Layering turns your collection into a combinatorial wardrobe — the same 7 bottles can produce over a hundred distinct signatures.
Why most people get it wrong
Random layering is trial and error — mix a floral with a woody and hope. Without measured concentration and matched note families, the result is muddy more often than not.
